International Development Programs (IDP)

Through a relationship with former Boca Juniors star and ASG Staff member Carlos Salguero, ASG developed a high-level training opportunity with top Argentine Coach, Jorge Raffo. Raffo is the Owner and Director of Centro de Entrenamiento para futbolistas de Alto Rendimiento (CEFAR). The center is based in Buenos Aires, and during the off-season, has been home to top players, including Maradona, as well as other Boca Juniors team members.

ASG Florida is pleased to offer the return of our Toronto opportunity. After 2008’s successful top level training and 3rd place finish in the Robbie Tournament, ASG Florida is excited to provide this great experience for our membership.

There will be an opportunity for senior and junior girls and boys teams to be coached by top national team coaches from the Canadian Soccer Association. We will work with these coaches for two sessions per day and provide friendly matches with local teams for the players to be evaluated on their progress during game situations.

ASG Florida is pleased to offer our most recent international training opportunity. ASG has developed a business relationship with Saprissa Academy in San Jose, Costa Rica. The training is conducted by Saprissa professional staff and National team staff coaches. We work with Saprissa to bring the very best training available to members of ASG. There will be opportunities for both boys (mens) and girls (womens) teams to train at Deportiva Saprissa’s Stadium and at nearby Los Juales. The players have the opportunity to work with these professional coaches on a daily basis and test their development against the highest level of competition.
